Well I am 4 hours into my first day as a nonsmoker! I have done pretty good so far, but the real test will be tonight when we go to the in-law’s to watch a movie. They smoke like crazy there!! It’s going to be hard, but I am determined, so…

WEll, Ive been a good girl so far, I have had salad three nights so far this week for supper. Again tonight! I think I am going to get a big screen tv before the superbowl. I should have enough money left over from my financial aid to help with it, so…. I hope I hope!!
The New Me January 4, 2008
Well, I decided to start a blog because like the description says, I am beginning a new chapter, hell, a new novel in my life. Because I want to take up a new hobby (hiking) I am making several changes and also just because I feel I need to be healthier in general.
Here are the changes.
1. Quit smoking! I am doing this a week from tomorrow.
2. Eat healthier
3. Lose bunches of weight
4. Start exercising more
On top of these I am also starting my online college education. I am working toward a degree in elementary education. I start my classes on the 16th, but for some reason, only one of my professors has posted the class. I need 4 more of them to do so! UGH. OK Enough for now, I will prolly have more later.

Well…..I know I have a hard time remembering to type!! Lots of new stuff, I have a new pup, Rocky, a new laptop, and I am going back to school thru FHSU virtual college. Will type more and share some pics once I recharge!!!!!!!!

Man, it’s been a LOOONG time since I posted! I guess that’s because life’s been so busy. Hunting season is here finally (YAY!!!!) and last weekend was perhaps the longest, busiest one in my short history!
Jody and I worked the NASCAR races in KC this past weekend. It was hot, tiring work, but I had alot of fun. For Saturday’s Busch series race, I worked in the garage area which included the gate through which all the drivers and crews entered. We had to search all of their bags, and we got to meet alot of the drivers. I didn’t get to see much of that race, but I had fun anyway. Sunday’s Nextel race was the better day by far. Jody and I got to work down in the pits, like right there with the pit crews, it was awesome!! We saw cars coming in for pit stops, which look way faster in person than on TV. Before the race, when all the cars were lined up on pit road and all the flags were hanging over the respective pits…. I stood out there directing people where to go, I wished so bad to take a pic, but that would have meant my job. 
Oh well, that’s one pic thats emblazoned on my mind!

We went to see an Elvis impersonator this weekend, which is a tradition. He comes twice a year to manhattan and we go with my hubby’s brother and his wife, its always a hoot. The guy (Marty Gibson) does a great job! Anyway Leigh and I got sschockered on Long Islands and my husband played with the lettuce once he had enough beer. it was a good ole time
LeafMan….. GAWD I laughed SO hard over this one….. May have had something to do with the drinks though

First Day of School August 17, 2006
well, yesterday was my first day of school. I work for our local USD as a substitute bus driver and a teacher’s aide/para. It was pretty fun, I met alot of new people. I also am the lunchroom monitor, so I have to keep the kids under control for two hours. It’s not too bad-yet 
I still don’t have my schedule as far as what rooms I will be helping in permanently yet, but I had some fun today in math, science and the 5th grade.

okay…… ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!!! whoever decided that it was too hard to get the bun out of the bag and put a hot dog on it themselves?? OH that’s TOO much WORK!
it wasn’t enough to make macaroni and cheese easier for these fat little kids, now we have a pre-bunned hot dog??? GIVE ME A BREAK! now you may look at me and say that I’m not that skinny either, but at least it’s because I COOK awesome food from SCRATCH. I work for my good food to eat and it makes me appreciate it that much more. GRRRR…. as Jay Leno would say….”No WONDER we’re so fat!!”
